Most couples who come to therapy say some version of:
“We feel disconnected.”
“We’re having the same arguments over and over.”
“We love each other, but we don’t know if we’ll ever find our way back.”
Often, couples deeply care about one another. The problem isn’t a lack of love… but life experiences, stress, past hurts, communication patterns, parenting demands, or unresolved attachment wounds have created distance within the relationship & left both partners feeling misunderstood and alone.
My role is not to determine who is right or wrong. Together, we will slow down those patterns so you can better understand the emotions, needs, and fears driving the conflict & disconnect. From there, we can begin rebuilding trust, connection, safety, and understanding together.
My approach is intentionally experiential. While practical strategies and exercises can absolutely support change, I believe lasting change happens when something shifts between the two of you in the therapy room. Rather than simply talking about your relationship, we’ll work with the interactions unfolding in real time… creating opportunities for new conversations, new experiences, and new patterns to emerge.
Areas of focus include:
- Rebuilding connection and emotional safety
- Conflict and communication struggles
- Parenting stress and mental load imbalance
- Life transitions and decision-making
- Infidelity or other betrayals
- Substance use/abuse and impacts on relationship
- Co-parenting before, during, or after separation
- Trauma (including childhood trauma) impacting the relationship
- Attachment-focused couples’ work
